Anyong Biotech Achieves Dual International Sustainability Certification and Showcases ANYO Perch Peptide Technology in 2024 Bio Asia-Taiwan

2024 BIO Asia-Taiwan Exhibition will be grandly held from July 26 to 29 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Halls 1 and 2. Anyong Biotech will showcase its equipment advantages and rigorous processing methods. The company uses Japan’s patented CAS (Cells Alive System) freezing technology for processing products, offering customizable services according to customer-specified fish species. They will introduce freezable sashimi-grade fish fillets and innovative ANYO perch peptide technology. Recently, Anyong Biotech passed the MSC and ASC sustainable fishery certifications, demonstrating a responsible approach to processing and production.

Anyong Biotech is committed to the sustainable development of the green economy. The company has recently passed the certifications of the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) and the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC). These two certifications are the most well-known environmental labels for seafood and benchmarks for sustainable fisheries. Through responsible management, Anyong Biotech minimizes the impact of aquaculture and fishing on the natural environment, oceans, and water quality, embodying the spirit of sustainable fisheries.

Anyong Biotech also focuses on whole fish utilization in seafood processing to promote the sustainable development of Taiwan’s fisheries. In 2023, ANYO Group won the gold medal in the 37th World Genius Convention and Education Expo 2023 for its “Whole Fish Utilization Technology.” In 2024, it was awarded another gold medal and a special prize at the same exhibition for its “ANYO Perch Peptide- an Innovative Material in Wound .” The Perch peptide is produced using ANYO Enzymatic Engineering Technology (AY-EE).

The key innovation in this technology is using perch essence by-products as substrates, selecting suitable complex enzymes, and developing optimal hydrolysis conditions for purification and extraction. The final product is the functional perch peptide. This achievement is currently being patented in the Republic of China, and the research findings will be published in international academic journals.

Anyong Biotech is the first company in Taiwan to introduce the CAS (Cells Alive System) technology from Japan’s ABI Corporation. CAS technology not only preserves the moisture and freshness of seafood but also enhances flavor through low-temperature aging, making thawed fish taste better than freshly caught. By combining intelligent aquaculture models with CAS technology and leveraging a semiconductor-grade seafood processing plant, Anyong Biotech has established an integrated food supply chain that ensures food safety and promotes the value-added and upgrading of Taiwan’s aquaculture industry.

The exhibited product, Santé Premium Silver Perch Essence, comes from ANYO Group’s high-standard essence production line. It is a world-class gold medal product recognized in Japan and Belgium, exemplifying the “whole fish utilization” concept. The exclusive AY-FPP segmented precision pressurized extraction technology extracts the nutritional essence of grouper, providing 5,000mg of protein and 434mg of BCAA per packet. It offers nutritional benefits for prenatal and postnatal care and serves as a vital source of nutrition for patients recovering from illness.

Anyong Biotech’s Mituo plant is renowned as a semiconductor-grade seafood processing facility. It houses one of the world’s top three and Asia’s first large-scale CAS low-temperature freezing storage warehouses. The production line has received international certifications such as ISO22000 and HACCP. It integrates a comprehensive food safety evaluation and supervision mechanism, featuring microbiological and analytical laboratories, as well as a fully automated whole fish processing line. The facility strictly controls the sourcing, production, and storage and distribution processes.
